Lash tapes

Lash tape for eyelash extensions

Lash tape is essential in the eyelash extension process, providing protection for the lower lashes and delicate under-eye skin.

The tape acts as a barrier to prevent lashes from sticking together or the skin being damaged by lash adhesive and other products.

Lash tape for sensitive skin

The skin around the eyes is delicate, requiring only the safest, highest-quality tapes. That’s why all our lash tapes are medical-grade, originally designed for surgical use.

Each tape is rigorously tested for safety and used daily in medical procedures, making them suitable for all skin types—including sensitive skin.

Beware of non-medical tapes—they may release fumes that can irritate the eyes and complicate lash application.

How to use lash tapes

  1. Clean the skin
Ensure the under-eye area is clean and free of oils before applying tape. This improves adhesion.
  2. Prepare the tape
Cut a small strip of lash tape to the desired length. If necessary, trim or shape the edges for a customized fit that conforms better to the client’s eye area.
  3. Isolate the lower lashes
Ask your client to open their eyes and look upward. Place the tape on the lower lash line to secure and isolate the lower lashes. Ensure it is positioned a few millimeters away from the waterline to avoid discomfort. Smooth the tape down lightly, allowing it to contour to the natural shape of the eye. Avoid pulling or stretching the tape as the stretched tape attempts to return to its original state.
  4. Adjust for upper lash support
If needed, apply a small piece of tape on the upper eyelid to lift and secure it, creating better access to the lash line for precise application.
  5. Check for comfort
Always confirm with your client that the tape feels comfortable and isn’t pulling on their skin or lashes. Adjust as necessary to avoid irritation or excessive pressure.
  6. Perform the lash application
Proceed with applying the eyelash extensions as usual. The lash tape will stay in place, providing a stable base and ensuring lashes are properly isolated.
  7. Remove gently
Once the application is complete, gently peel off the tape, starting from one corner.
Stabilize the skin with one finger at the peel line and continuously move it along the peel line to support the skin during removal.

Pro Tips:

  • Avoid overstretching: The tape is highly flexible but should not be stretched too tightly, as it may cause discomfort when applied.
  • Pair with eye pads: For extra protection, layer the tape over gel eye pads to secure them in place while isolating lashes.
